Archbishops Message

I welcome heartily the creation of yet another website in our Archdiocese. Managed by our Diocesan Centre for Social Communications Media, this website aims at reaching out to a much greater number of ‘netizens’, as compared to our existing Archdiocesan website (, by making itself accessible in the Mobile Web and adding a number of new features and facilities which will enable better communication among the various stakeholders.

With the ever growing communication technology, the Church is offered further means for fulfilling her mission of evangelization, of communicating Christ to the world. At the same time, the new available methods of facilitating communication and dialogue among her own members make it possible for her to establish a more forceful presence in the world, while remaining attentive to the voice of the humanity which she is ‘sent’ to serve.

“The communications apostolate is made effective by creating bonds,” said Pope Francis to the directors and employees of the Vatican Television Centre in 2013. I invite and urge our parishes and diocesan institutions to get linked to the present website and create a common bond, thus presenting a united witness to the evangelizing mission of this Archdiocese and of the Church at large.
