Christmas Celebration for Chotanagpur people in Goa
Christmas Celebration was held for the people of Chotanagpur area working in Goa at Our Lady of Rosary hall, Navelim. Fr. Michael Pereira, SVD along with the Executive members of Chotanagpur youth group Goa, meticulous planned the whole program and organised it. The program started with the holy Eucharistic celebration by Fr. Anil and concelebrated by Fr. Juzinho, SFX, Fr. Joshua, SFX and Fr. Michael Pereira, SVD. The program included Carol Singing competition, Fancy dress competition, dance competition, star making and Card making competitions. The joy of the celebration was doubled with the presence of Fr. Donato and Fr. Rajkishore, MSFS and sisters from adorers convent Nuvem. The overall first place won by Collem group and the second and third by Verna and Navelim groups respectively. The people were very happy that they got such opportunity to come together and participate in such a celebration. Many people also suggested to have such programs often so that they get opportunity to come together and meet people and also display their talents. Fr. Michael Pereira, SVD, in his address thanked Fr. Gabriel Couthino, the Parish Priest of Navelim Parish and all the other priests in the parish for all their support and generously allowing the group to host the program in their parish hall. He also gratefully thanked the Raia Parish youth who wholeheartedly and willingly helped the organisers to judge the events and also helping in distributing snacks and Photography.
