35th Annual Antonio Pereira Konknni Puroskar 2025 Ceremony

Thomas Stephens Konknni Kendr, Porvorim held its 35th Annual Antonio Pereira Konknni Puroskar 2025 Ceremony on February 02 (Sunday), 2025 at 5.00 p.m. Mr. Prasad Lolyekar, IAS officer consented to be the chief guest of the day. Lourenco & Umbelina De Souza Scholarship: Ms Kellyann Rodrigues (Highest marks in Konkani at HSSC exam at the Bardez level)

Annual Tskk Research Bulletin – SOD -27 was also released at the function.

The Discipline of Konkani, Shenoi Goembab School of Languages and Literature in collaboration with the Thomas Stephens Konknni Kendr, Alto Porvorim, organized a one-day literary programme entitled – The Contribution of Veterans to the Konkani Movement) a lecture series based on the senior Konkani writer’s contribution for the Konkani language on January 15, 2025. Three papers were presented for a duration of half an hour, after which the floor was open for discussion and queries. Dr. Bhushan Bhave spoke on Thomas Stephens and his contribution to the Konkani movement, Dr. Rajay Pawar spoke on the works of Dr. Manoharrai Sardessai, whereas Dr. Fr. Luis Gomes spoke on the life and works of Monsgr. Sebastiao Dalgado and Mr. Anil Pai spoke on the works of Chandrakant Keni.

TSKK in collaboration with Ethernet Xpress honored Ms Sharada Savaikar the lady who was very much part of the Goa Liberation movement on January 16, 2025 on the auspicious occasion of the Goa Asmitai day. Dr. Balaji Shennoy interviewed her thus making her struggles and sacrifices explicit to the audience.

TSKK in collaboration with Ethernet Xpress organised another program to recognize the unsung angels who served the underserved youth to empower their life and work skills. Ms Libia Lobo Sardesai was the Chief guest and Mr. Naman Sawant Dhawaskar (supporter of the Vanarmare tribe), Mr. Sandeep Parab (Supports Abandoned women), Mr. Victor Hugo Gomes (Supports Artisans and dying arts) and Mr. Durgadas Parab (scholarships to the underserved). The program was held on January 21, 2025 at TSKK.
