The AICUF Cell of Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim, observed the ‘Jubilee of students week’ (22nd-27th July) by organising a ‘Jubilee Walk’ for its students on 24th July 2025 from 2.30-4.30 p.m. at the Pilgrim Centre at Holy Spirit Church, Margao.
Participants were warmly welcomed by the convenor of AICUF cell, Fr. Roman Rodrigues. Fr.Blaise Lobo, Director of Diocesan Youth Center, briefed the students about the meaning and significance of a Jubilee Year. Fr. explained Jubilee Year as a special time in the Catholic Church marked by renewal, forgiveness, and celebration of God’s mercy.
The participants were then divided into groups and engaged in a short ice-breaker activity, where each person received a letter that collectively formed words like Creation, Forgiveness, Prayer, Community and Service which marked the five stations of the Jubilee Walk. The ‘Jubilee Walk’ began from St. John Paul II Complex to the Holy Spirit Church, Margao. At each station, participants reflected and prayed seeking Hope in creation, forgiveness, prayer, service and community. The walk culminated with the entry through the Holy Door of the Holy Spirit Church, Margao, where a time of Eucharistic Adoration was led by Fr. Movin Fernandes, an Asst. Parish Priest.
The spiritual journey concluded at 4:30 p.m., leaving the participants enriched and renewed in their faith.
