DYC – Youth Pasch 2026

The Diocesan Youth Centre (DYC) Goa recently held its traditional 38th ‘Youth Pasch 2026’, from April 1st to 5th led by Fr. Blaise Lobo, Director of DYC-Goa, at the St. Joseph Vaz Spiritual Renewal Centre, Old Goa. Rooted in the profound mystery of the Holy Triduum, this annual programme served as a spiritual cornerstone for the 50 youngsters seeking a deeper connection with their faith during the most sacred days of the liturgical calendar.

The Youth Pasch was about walking the life of Jesus, looking through the olden times in the light of the gospel and then connecting it to modern times. This journey began deeply with Maundy Thursday, reflecting on a love that chooses to be selfless. It continued into Good Friday, reflecting on the suffering of Christ and the “deaths” we all must face. This led into the profound stillness of Holy Saturday, a day dedicated to setting the youth free of bondages, releasing the fears, insecurities, sins and past attachments that held them back from their future calling. This internal liberation paved the way for the Easter Resurrection, where the focus shifted to the triumph of a new identity. By the time the Easter bells rang, the Gospel wasn’t just a text from the past but the whole Youth Pasch was a living reality with a new meaning.
