The parishioners of Our Lady of Candelaria Church, Baina-Vasco, marked the beginning of their spiritual preparations for the annual feast with the solemn installation of the Maddi (Our Lady’s flag hoisting) on 23rd April, 2026. This meaningful tradition signifies the commencement of the feast celebrations and invites the faithful to enter into a time of prayer and reflection.
The ceremony was graced by a reverent Holy Mass, during which the faithful gathered in large numbers to seek the intercession of Our Lady. Following the Mass, a devout and well-attended procession was carried out through the parish areas of Baina, with parishioners participating with great devotion, prayerfully accompanying the statue and expressing their faith.
The Novena in preparation for the feast will begin on 24th April, drawing the community together each day in prayer and devotion. The celebrations will culminate in the Feast Mass on 3rd May at 9:30 am, marking a significant and joyous occasion for the entire parish.
