ALL GOA CATHOLIC EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS’ DAY 2023
The Archdiocesan Board of Education celebrated the All Goa Catholic Educational Institutions’ Day on 8th Feb.2023 at Ravindra Bhavan , Margao based on the theme” Educators – Be Witnesses of Communion, Participation and Mission”.
The Chief Guest was Rev.Sr.Faria Barretto, Superior General of the Congregation Handmaids of Christ while His Eminence Most Rev.Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao presided over the function.The programme began with a Prayer Dance by the students of St. Thomas Girls’High School, Aldona followed by a Prayer Service invoking God’s blessings. 49 Staff members from North Goa and 44 Staff members from South Goa working in ABE institutions were felicitated with a Memento and a Certificate. In his address Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao congratulated all the Staff members who were felicitated for their hard work and dedication. Rev. Sr. Faria Barretto expressed her gratitude and thanked all the teaching and non-teaching Staff members for their dedicated service of 30 years in ABE institutions.
The Annual Souvenir showcasing the various achievements and programmes of the Archdiocesan Board of Education was released on the occasion.This was followed by a Cultural Programme. The theme song for the occasion was composed by Yshana Gonsalves and Nayden D’Silva, teachers of Rosary Higher Secondary School , Navelim and sung by their students. Students of Our Lady Mother of the Poor High School, Tilamol presented an English skit appealing to us to ‘Save Mother Earth’.The programme ended with the patriotic rendition of the National Anthem by the students of Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim.
