ANNUAL CAKE MIXING CEREMONY – CURCHOREM GOA

Guardian Angel Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology held their ANNUAL CAKE MIXING CEREMONY in grandeur at the veranda of their New Campus on 21/11/2022. This time the occasion was organized differently with the students under the guidance of faculty prepared a grand canvass of Holy Family of dry fruits arranged into a Christmas setting.

Chief Guest at the event was Dr. Jasmine Braganza, (Chairperson of Curchorem – Cacora Municipal Council) along with Guest of honours Mrs. Clementine Fernandes (Ward Councilor, CCMC) and Mrs. Jennifer Colaco (Proprietor of Wild West, Bar and Restaurant, Curchorem).

In his address Rev. Fr. Joaquim Rebello, (Principal of GAIHMCT) welcomed the guests, staff and students and said that this world is like a big fruit cake and we all like different fruits, together we make a beautiful world.  Let us work to make and keep it beautiful. This was followed by Chef Anthony Carvalho explaining the history and significance of Cake Mixing.

In her speech, Dr. Jasmine appreciated the management and staff for organizing such different events at the institute which give an opportunity for students to showcase their talents. College band performed live music to entertain the guests.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Chef Guilermo Da Gama on behalf of the Management and staff highlighting the contribution of Church in Goa and Pilar father\’s in building community gathering and events for the welfare of the society and thereafter all the Staff members and the Students joined hands in the cake mixing. The Christmas Carols were sung during the caking mixing. Chef Karl Correia was overall in-charge of the event.
