ART STORIES is an Exhibition of Paintings of persons with disabilities and participants of the course Art as Healing Tool. It is a curation of artworks that give unique expressions to everyday ideas. This exhibition recognises that “Every person is an artist” and that “art can reshape society for the better as stated by Joseph Beuys, a German artist.
The Exhibition is a collaboration between artists with intellectual disabilities from Divya Sadan (a project of Caritas Goa in Porvorim, North Goa); St Francis Xavier Vocational Centre (Education and Vocation Centre for Children with Disabilities), Old Goa and Participants of the Course ‘Art as a Healing Tool’ (organised by Caritas Goa at Panjim). Ms Lioba Knepple, is the artist and art facilitator who guided all the artists. The Exhibition is curated by Samira Sheth, which opens at 12.00 noon, Sunday, 14th till 21st December 2025, outside rehearsal room at Kala Academy. The exhibition is organised under the banner of the Serendipity Arts Festival 2025. Entry is Free. Need to register.
The proceeds of the sale of the paintings and other products will go to support the work for persons with disabilities.
Caritas Goa, that has brought the artists together, through the two centres and the art course, is committed to helping the needy, the oppressed, the marginalised, and the victims of natural and man-made calamities.
