Auxiliary Bishop Simiao Fernandes, Fr. Mario Souza, Assistant administrator of the Archdiocese, other priests and volunteers from Borda, Fatorda, Reis Magos and Panaji Parishes participated in the paddy cultivation at Archdiocesan fields in Reis Magos, on 5th July. Carrying on with the initiatives of protecting nature and preserving traditional occupations, the Archdiocese, supported by Archbishop Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao, who couldn’t participate due to a prior engagement, has been motivating the people to engage in such traditional activities. Many Parishes in the Archdiocese have taken up such initiatives and are promoting agricultural activities.
