The Vocation Commission for the Diocesan Clergy (VCDC) of the Seminary of Our Lady, Saligao-Pilerne will present a special children’s Choir Concert titled “Carlo Acutis” on Wednesday, 15th April 2026 at 6.00 p.m. at the Our Lady of Rosary Church, Fatorda.
The concert is conceived as a spiritually enriching and musically vibrant initiative aimed at introducing children, youth, and families to the inspiring life and witness of St. Carlo Acutis, the young contemporary model of holiness who touched the world through his deep love for the Holy Eucharist, devotion to Our Lady, and commitment to living an authentic Christian life.
At a time when many young people are searching for meaning, identity, and purpose, the life of Carlo Acutis offers a powerful testimony that sanctity is not distant or outdated, but possible in the ordinary circumstances of modern life. Through this concert, the organizers seek to communicate this message in a manner that is both accessible and inspiring, especially for the younger generation.
The musical presentation by Mr. Raj D’Pietro Fernandes is intended not merely as an artistic programme, but as a faith formation initiative, encouraging children and young people: to live their faith with conviction and joy, to appreciate Christian values in daily life, to become more open to God’s call to Priesthood, and to recognise that each one is called to holiness and mission.
The event also seeks to foster a spirit of vocation awareness among children and youth by presenting the beauty of a life centered on Christ. In this way, the programme aligns with the wider mission of the Church to nurture vocations and form hearts that are receptive to God’s Divine plan. The concert is especially being organized for Children – Catechism and Altar servers and their Parents and Music lovers, , all of whom are warmly invited to participate in this meaningful evening of music, reflection, and vocation promotion. This Faith Presentation is organised under the mantle of Fr Reagan Fernandes, Director, VCDC, Mr. Raj D’Pietro Fernandes, Conductor, Fr. Ramiro Luis, the Director of Crescendo and Fr. Mario Costa, the Parish Priest of Our Lady of Rosary Church Church, Fatorda
