Crescendo Community Centre for Music: A Decade of Musical Growth 2016 – 2025

The Crescendo Community Centre for Music joyfully celebrated its Decennial Annual Day Concert on 15th November 2025, marking ten remarkable years of nurturing musical talent and shaping young minds through the gift of music.

What began as a simple yet powerful dream has today blossomed into a vibrant institute, touching countless lives through disciplined training, creative expression, and a spirit of harmony.

Under the leadership of Fr Dr Ramiro Luis, the Director, Crescendo has grown steadily in quality, structure, and vision. His dedication, unwavering commitment, and deep passion for music have made Crescendo a home where students not only learn but also thrive. Supporting him in this mission is Ms Eweny Saldanha e Fernandes, the Animator of the Centre, whose consistent coordination, care, and organizational strength have helped shape the institute’s culture and smooth functioning.

The teachers – Mr Velerio Mascarenhas, Mr Gary Coutinho, Mr Sigmund Dias; Ms Janice Parras, Ms Gail Coutinho, Mr Stanford Dias, Mr Nolvert Cota, and Mr Stalin D’Sa — continue to be the pillars of Crescendo, shaping students with skill, passion, and patience.

A total of 220 students from across all instrument sections enthusiastically participated, showcasing the talent, discipline, and spirit of our music school.

The grand Decennial Concert witnessed a magnificent line-up of performances in violin, guitar, keyboard, ukulele, trumpet, choir, and ensemble pieces—each item showcasing not only the students’ talent but also the dedicated training they received.

The programme was a celebration of teamwork, creativity, and the joyous spirit of music that Crescendo embodies.

Fr Jeronimo D’Silva, the Chief Guest for the evening, in his inspiring address, commended the growth of the institute, praising the director, teachers, and students for their commitment to excellence. He acknowledged Crescendo’s unique contribution to the cultural and artistic formation of young people and encouraged the Centre to continue its mission with even greater zeal.

The Decennial Celebrations were not merely an event but a milestone—an affirmation of ten years of hard work, passion, and the belief that music has the power to transform lives. Crescendo moves forward with gratitude for the past and hope for the future, ready to nurture many more generations in the beautiful art of music.
