In celebration of the Jubilee Year 2025 and the Centenary of the Canonization of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the Discalced Carmelites of the Karnataka-Goa Province, in collaboration with the Diocesan Centre for Biblical Apostolate (Goa and Daman), will organize a three-day Bible Symposium, specifically designed for priests, from August 27th to 29th, 2025, at Divine Springs, Xellim, Goa.
The event will be inaugurated by Bishop Simiao Purificação Fernandes, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman. The theme “The Biblical Text in Its Context in the Digital and AI Age,”
The symposium’s objectives: pastoral formation, biblical foundation, digital competence, ministry integration, patristic wisdom, and scholarly inspiration.
Participants are requested to bring their personal laptops for hands-on sessions. A boarding and lodging fee of ₹500 per day will apply, along with a course fee of ₹500 per day.
