Fr. Jacome Gonsalves day celebrated in Divar
Fr. Jacome Gonsalves day was celebrated in Divar recently . In the morning two masses were celebrated in the Piedade Parish. In is homily Fr. Simao Rodrigues explained the life of Fr. Jacome Gonsalves, the works and writings in different languages, to the parisioners of Piedade Parish. Fr. Rodrigues also advised the parishioners specially the youth to follow the footsteps of Fr. Jacome and to pray for his sainthood. In the evening in a Fr. Jacome Gonsalves hall, a cultural programme along with the poster, drawing and essay competition was held. Fr. Simao Rodriguws congrutulated the winners of the various competions. Headmistress Edvida Gonsalves also spoke on the occassion. Camilo D\’Sa proposed the vote of thanks.
