Holy Week Celebrated all over Goa
The Christian world enters into deep spiritual solitude these days in preparation for the most important festival of their faith, which is celebrated this Sunday. Easter as we call it is the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, overcoming death, overcoming Sin and freeing humankind from its slavery. But to celebrate this Christians first recall how much Jesus had to suffer for us. Maundy Thursday recalls the Institution of the Eucharist and Priesthood at the Last Supper by Jesus Christ and the giving of the Commandment of Love and Service, which was showed at that moment by washing the feet of the Disciples by Jesus and later on in all it\’s fullness by giving his life for the whole world. This is recalled on Good Friday where Jesus is nailed on the Cross and Raised as a Sacrifice for the Sins of whole humankind. What Greater Love can there be than this!
