The magazine ‘Amcho Sevadhorm’ commemorates the Jubilee Year of its existence and on that occasion an exhibition entitled, “Our Liturgical Treasure / Amchem Sevadhormik Daiz” was inaugurated on 20th August, 2026, in the Pastoral Institute St. Pius X, Old Goa by His Eminence Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrão, Archbishop of Goa and Daman in the presence of His Excellency Simião Purificação Fernandes, Auxiliary Bishop of Goa and Daman, His Excellency Ignatius Loyola Mascarenhas, Bishop Emeritus of Diocese of Shimla-Chandigarh, the committee of the Diocesan Centre for Liturgy and other distinguished guests. The Exhibition is conceptualized in 5 sections: 1st – Vatican Council II and its impact on the faithful. The Sacrosanctum Concilium, the first document brought about the establishment of the Diocesan Commission for Liturgy within a period of six months, the first to be erected in India was in the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman which is depicted in the 2nd Section. The 3rd Section beautifully highlights the contribution of the hymnal Gaionancho Jhelo over the last 63 years. All the editions of the hymn book are on display. The names of all the lyricists, composers and among them the youngest of them is found among them with photographs. The 4th Section brings out the contribution of the magazine ‘Amcho Sevadhorm’ which has grown over the last Fifty Years. So also the 1st, 25th and 50th Editions are on display at the event. The 5th Section under the theme of Sacraments / Sacramentals and information about important liturgical things, liturgical books, colours, vestments, etc. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Fr. Afonso Mendonça, Director of the Diocesan Centre for Liturgy. Fr. Onasis D’Cruz, a Member of the Committee of the Diocesan Centre for Liturgy was the Co-ordinator of the Exhibition and Fr. Adrian Furtado conceptualized and designed the entire Exhibition. The Inaugural ceremony was compered by Sr. Alexia Braz, fmck. The Exhibition will remain open for few months on weekdays from 09.00 a.m. to 05.30 p.m. All are cordially invited.
