The Jubilee of the Small Christian Communities (SCCs) of the Margao Deanery was celebrated at Holy Spirit Church, Margao, on 20th October 2025, with the theme “That they may all be one” (John 17:21). Over 400 participants from the Parishes and Chapels of the Deanery attended. The celebration began with a solemn procession through the Mercy Door, after which Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Amandio Valadares warmly welcomed the participants. In his address, he reflected on the SCCs Jubilee theme, the significance of the Jubilee Cross, and our relationship with God and one’s neighbours.
The Blessed Sacrament was then exposed for a time of adoration, concluding with a solemn blessing and the singing of the Jubilee Song by the Holy Spirit Church parishioners. After a short tea break, Rev. Fr. Henry Falcao, Director of St. Joseph Vaz Spiritual Renewal Centre, Old Goa, delivered the main talk . He emphasized the importance of SCCs .Further, Fr.Henry highlighted that SCCs are the Church at the grassroot level and are not a small part of the Church. He encouraged every Deanery in our Archdiocese to organise a similar program.
