The Museum of Christian Art (MoCA) will host “Strings and Stories (16th–20th Century)”, an immersive journey through sound and art across eras, on Sunday, 30 August 2026, at 6.30 p.m. at the Museum of Christian Art, Old Goa. Featuring the Lemongrass String Quartet, the programme will take audiences on a journey through centuries of Western classical music.
Through a selection of short and varied works, discover how musical styles, instruments, and expressions evolved across time, from the simplicity of early music and the grandeur of the Baroque to the elegance of the Classical era and the expressive character of Romanticism and beyond.
Each piece offers a glimpse into its time, its composers, and the changing ways music was created and performed. Set within the historic surroundings of MoCA, this special performance invites you to experience music as a living reflection of history and culture.
