Pastoral Enrichment Program Inaugurated
The 47th Pastoral Enrichment Program was inaugurated on July 2023 at the Pastoral Institute, St Pius, Old Goa. His Eminence Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrão presided over the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration. The concelebrants were Vicar General Fr. Jose Remedios Fernandes, the Director of the Pastoral Institute Fr. Simião Fernandes, the resident priests and the guest priests. The program was attended by priests and religious from the deanery, the family members of the deacons and the priests from the parishes where the deacons go for their pastoral ministry. The booklet prepared by the deacons as an aid for Novena, Feast and various occasions was released by Most Rev. Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrão. The bishop acquainted himself with the deacons\’ family members and had a short meeting with them. The Pastoral Institute staff also interacted with the family members and apprised them about the Pastoral Enrichment Program. Following that a fellowship meal was shared together. The program concluded with a friendly match in the evening between the present deacons and the pastoralites of the last year. The deacon emerged winners with a scoreline of 2-1.
