Pastoral Institute Celebrates Thanksgiving Day
The Pastoral Institute held its Thanksgiving Day celebration on March 19, 2024, marking the culmination of the 47th Pastoral Enrichment Programme. The occasion was graced by His Eminence Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao, who presided over the Eucharistic celebration. Earlier, Fr. Simião Fernandes, the Director welcomed the gathering.
The ceremony brought together staff, deacons, family members of the deacons, ministry parish priests, benefactors, core team members, and religious. A short program followed the mass, featuring an orchestra, choral piece, and a thought-provoking skit.
The program continued with a year-end report summarizing the Institute\’s activities and achievements which was presented by Deacon Joao. Archbishop Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao then delivered a key message focusing on the importance of the Synodal Journey: Communion, Participation, and Mission. He emphasized the crucial role of formators and ministerial priesthood in shaping the future of the Church. His message also highlighted the need for creativity in our ministry.
Deacon Walvin proposed the Vote of Thanks. The whole programme was compered by Deacon Venancio. The celebratory program concluded with a fellowship meal in the afternoon, fostering a spirit of community and togetherness among those who participated in the enrichment program.
