Explanation of the Logo

The theme, \’Stay With Us\’ (LK 24. 29) is from the Easter narrative of the Risen Lord joining the two disciples on the road to Emmaus but still feeling lost because of what had happened that Good Friday.

The most prominent figure of the logo is the Risen Lord – a symbol of victory of Easter over Good Friday, of Life over death and of His abiding presence in the Universe and in our own life-journeys today. The seven human figures – two for the disciples on the way to Emmaus and five representing humankind on the five continents are expressions of the faithful today who, joyfully remaining with the Lord (Evangelii Gaudium), strive to move out in the service of the brothers and sisters (Fratelli Tutti), caring also for the nature (Laudato Si).

This entire action moves forward through the power of the daily Eucharist, motivated by His words and strengthened by His meal.
