Pastoral Theme for the Pastoral Year 2023-2024
The Archbishop through his letter dated 23rd February, 2023 has granted approval for the following theme to be implemented as the Pastoral Theme for the Pastoral Year 2023-2024:
In Konkani: “HANVEM TUMKAM KELAM TOXENCH TUMI-I KORAT\” (Ju.13, 15).
In English: “YOU ALSO SHOULD DO AS I HAVE DONE TO YOU\” (Jn. 13, 15).
While granting his approval to the above-mentioned Pastoral theme, his Eminence has earnestly recommended that the Diocesan Bodies, Church Institutions including the Religious as well as the Parishes in the Archdiocese at all levels:
✔ Keep in mind the above Pastoral Theme for the Pastoral Year 2023-2024 and ensure that all those under your care are aware about the same;
✔ Integrate the same into the Ministries/Apostolates with eventual adaptations to the extent necessary and
✔ Plan activities/programmes for the Pastoral Year 2023-2024 with emphasis on the above theme.
His Eminence desires and prays that this meaningful theme and its development by our ecclesial bodies, helps us to prepare ourselves spiritually for the Solemn Exposition of the Sacred Relics of St. Francis Xavier, which is scheduled to take place in 2024-2025 and also contributes further to the building of a truly Synodal Church in our Archdiocese.
