As part of our Catechetical activity, a Living Word Stories Presentation was organised on Sunday, 27th September 2026, after the Holy Mass at Our Lady of Candelaria Church, Baina.
The programme aimed to help our children discover the beauty of God’s Word and encourage them to share the Gospel through storytelling. Children from Pre-Communion to Class VIII participated enthusiastically and presented various Bible stories in their own creative and meaningful ways.
The presentations included stories such as The Birth of Jesus, God’s Creation, David and Goliath, Noah’s Ark, The Two Builders, The Wedding at Cana, The Parable of the Talents, and other inspiring stories from the Bible. The children used simple props and expressive narration, making the stories engaging and meaningful for everyone present.
A minimum of two participants from each class were encouraged to take part, giving the children an opportunity to overcome stage fear, develop confidence and, most importantly, share God’s message with others.
The programme was smoothly conducted with the support and cooperation of our catechists, parents and volunteers. Fr. Domnic D’Souza, our Parish Priest and Catechetical Animator, encouraged the children and appreciated their efforts.
The programme concluded on a joyful and prayerful note, leaving us with a beautiful reminder that God’s Word comes alive when we listen to it, live it and share it with others.
