Report of the One-Day Retreat – AICUF

AICUF cell of Rosary College, Navelim in collaboration with Live Pure India organised a retreat under the theme “Truth Unveiled” on 31st March 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. at St. John Paul II Complex, Borda Margao.

The retreat began with registration, fellowship, and settling in, allowing participants to feel at ease. This was followed by an opening prayer,warm welcome, introduction, and orientation by Fr. Roman Rodrigues, convenor of the AICUF cell, who set the tone for the day. A session of music ministry and ice breaker session helped create an atmosphere of spiritual readiness and encouraged interaction and created a sense of unity among the students, which led by Mr. Hanan Fernandes.

The first session, “Who am I? guided the participants in self-reflection on their identity in Christ. This was complemented by the Father’s Love Letter, which provided a powerful reminder of God’s unconditional love.

After a short break, participants engaged in gathering and activities, fostering a spirit of collaboration. The second session, “True Love,” explored the biblical understanding of love, reinforcing Christian values in relationships. This was followed by group discussions allowing participants to share insights from the first two sessions.

After a refreshing lunch break, the third session on “Culture of Death,” addressed the challenges of contemporary society, emphasizing the importance of choosing life and righteousness.

A break, followed by another activity session, provided participants with time to process the discussions. The fourth and final session, “God’s Grace in Our Need,” highlighted the transformative power of divine grace in overcoming life’s struggles.

Subsequently, a group discussion on sessions three and four allowed participants to reflect and share personal experiences.

Participants were also led into confessions and some time to spend in quiet prayer and reconciliation with God before the Blessed Sacrament. The retreat concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Chrystal Fernandes.
