Rhythm of Hope at St. Francis Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Siolim

The Dance and Theatre Club of St. Francis Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Siolim, hosted a vibrant and heartwarming Inter-Class Dance Competition titled “Rhythm of Hope” as part of the Jubilee year celebration, on Thursday, 17th July 2025. Beginning at 12:30 p.m, the event saw enthusiastic participation from students across all streams of the higher secondary section. Dancers graced the stage with powerful performances woven around the theme of hope, each bringing stories alive through graceful movements, expressive choreography, and elegant costumes. The atmosphere brimmed with creativity, emotion, and youthful energy, reflecting the spirit of resilience and unity.

The esteemed panel of judges included Mrs. Yvette Pais, former Assistant Headmistress of St. Britto High School, Mapusa, and Mr. Alister Gomes, an exceptional dancer who began his journey at the tender age of three. After witnessing ten captivating performances, the judges shared insightful feedback. The Principal, Fr.Edal Kumar addressed the gathering and the Headmaster Fr. Dilip Tete also graced the occasion. A special entertainment dance by students added a festive touch before results were announced. XII Science, XII Commerce C and XI Science were awarded first, second and third place respectively. The winners were honoured with certificates and gold, silver, and bronze medals.The compere for the day was Ms. Anushka Gadekar. The event concluded on a gracious note with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Stella D’Cunha marking the end of an inspiring and unforgettable celebration of dance and hope.
