TSKK and St. Aloysius University to Host National Symposium on 16th-Century Goan Literature

The Thomas Stephens Konknni Kendr, in collaboration with St. Aloysius (Deemed University), will organizing a National Symposium titled “Rediscovering Sixteenth-Century Local Language Literature in Goa: Texts, Traditions, and Historical Narratives.”

The event will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm at the TSKK AC Hall in Porvorim, Goa.

The symposium features a keynote address by Dr. Kiran Budkuley, alongside paper presentations from:

  • Dr. Annie Rachel Royson (Gujarat)
  • Shri. Gokuldas Prabhu (Kerala)
  • Jason Pinto SDB (Karnataka)
  • Dr. Manoj Kamat (Goa)
  • Dr. Milind Mhamal (Goa)
  • Dr. Delio Mendonça S.J. (Goa)

Attendance is strictly restricted to pre-registered delegates due to limited seating. The registration fee is Rs. 200/- for adults and Rs. 100/- for students (inclusive of lunch).
