Grandparent’s day was celebrated at Holy Spirit Institute Margao, in anticipation, on 24th July 2025 in the school hall. Two grandparent representatives from High School and Pre- Primary were invited for the same. The programme began with a meaningful prayer service. A lovely wallpaper based on the theme was then released at the hands of the Headmistress Mrs. Esmeralda Mendes e Fernandes and Mrs Treza Castanha, nonteaching staff member of our school who is also a grandparent. Thereafter the school Manager Rev.Fr. Amandio Valadares addressed the gathering. The tiny tots from the pre -primary and the primary section added colour to the programme by their wonderful dance “Roll over the Ocean”. Furthermore a melodious song “Pornnem Volter” was sung by Liva D’Cunha. Our Headmistress then delivered her message for the day. Two of our students Miss Ruth Maria Fernandes and Miss Madeeha Onikeri, spoke their heart out about grandparents through their poems. Our guests were also felicitated by tokens of love at the hands of the Manager. One of our grandparent, Mr. Francisco Fernandes thanked the efforts of the school management and the teachers for their invitation and for arranging this lovely programme. Finally the program ended with a vote of thanks by Tr. Celine.
