National Conference 2026 held at Santa Monica Convent, Old Goa

The National Conference 2026 on the theme “Connectedness in a Fragmented World – A Path for Formation 2035” was held on 27–28 February 2026 at Santa Monica Convent, Old Goa. The conference was organized by the Institute Mater Dei (IMD), a Unit of Conference of Religious Women India (CRWI) in collaboration with the CCBI Commission for Vocations, Seminaries, Clergy and Religious (VSCR).

The conference witnessed the participation of 104 religious and diocesan formators representing 33 Religious Congregations and four dioceses across India. It served as a significant platform for dialogue, reflection, and collaboration on fostering deeper connectedness in the processes of formation and mission in the context of an increasingly fragmented world.

The programme began with Inaugural Holy Eucharist celebrated by Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao, followed by the inaugural session and keynote addresses. Core sessions presented theological, socio-political, cultural, and pastoral-psychological perspectives on building communion and healing fragmentation in society. Participants engaged in interactive dialogues, group discussions, and synodal discernment processes to explore practical pathways for formative communities.

The second day included further input sessions and a plenary presentation of the conference statement and action plan for 2035. The event concluded with an evaluation and valedictory function.
