The National Pilgrim Virgin Statue (Peregrinatio Mariae) of Fatima has remained in the custody of the National Centre in Goa since December 2002, when it was gifted from the Sanctuary of Fatima, Portugal by H.E. Bishop Serafim de Souza Ferreira e Silva, upon the request of H.E. Archbishop Henry D’Souza of Calcutta (of happy memory), then National President of the World Apostolate of Fatima – India.
Over the years, this same Peregrinatio Mariae has journeyed across India carrying Our Lady’s message of Prayer, Penance, Conversion and Peace. In 2023, it travelled throughout the Archdiocese of Bangalore, and since October last year, has once again been actively journeying across the Archdiocese of Goa. Accompanying it are authenticated Relics of Saints Francisco and Jacinta Marto from Fatima.
As part of the May journey in the Goa Archdiocese, the pilgrim statue will visit:
Assolna – 12 & 13 May
Chicalim – 15 & 16 May
Baina – 23 & 24 May
Ucassaim – 30 & 31 May
