These courses are primarily in view of liturgical formation to be imparted to as many lay faithful as possible. The importance of this fact is stressed in the published ‘Synthesis of the Feedback of the Consultation in View of Synod 2023 – 2024’ which says, “Awareness seminars by experts in Liturgy of Christ’s faithful is a need of the hour”. Further it adds, “Deeper understanding of the Sacraments needs to be given to all specially children and youth”. The Centre has been providing these courses for the last 2 decades under various modalities (Residential, Deanery, Parish, Konkani-English). Therefore it is of utmost importance that the benefits of these courses reach to as many as possible.
The topics will include: Liturgy and my role in it; the Seven Sacraments (in particular the Eucharist); the Bible and how to read it; the Liturgical Year and its significance in our life; the Role of the Laity in the Church; the Liturgical Calendar; Liturgical Music; Hints to write Liturgy; Called to be Effective Proclaimers; Hints to make Sunday Liturgy meaningful; How to pray the Prayer of the Church; Know your Liturgical Books; etc.
Several other liturgical questions will be answered: Should there be Sunday Collections and where do they go? Is it needed to cover heads at Mass? How should we receive communion at Mass – in Hand or on Tongue? Should we cover our heads in the Church? Can we venerate Our Lady and the Saints? These, and several other questions will be answered.

Besides the above, we are also organizing Enrichment Programmes which are follow-up programmes for Sevadhormik Sevok (participants who attended from 2007 onwards) and Liturgical Animators (participants who attended from 2017 onwards)
