The Diocesan Catechetical Centre has officially launched its Theological and Pastoral Formation of the Laity program for the 2026-2027 cycle. This year’s curriculum, themed “Know Your Faith, Live Your Faith, Share Your Faith,” focuses on a deep-dive exploration titled “Understanding the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC).”
Program Curriculum and Structure
The program is designed to provide a comprehensive foundation in Catholic doctrine. The curriculum is divided into four core topics:
- A: Creed – Profession of Faith
- B: Cult – Celebration of the Christian Mystery
- C: Code – Life in Christ
- D: Prayer – Christian Prayer
Schedule of Sessions
The formation consists of 13 specialized sessions held primarily on Sundays, spanning from mid-2026 into early 2027. The program will culminate in a Diploma Day on January 31st, 2027.

Event Logistics
All sessions will take place at the Pastoral Institute St. Pius X in Old Goa. Each scheduled day follows a structured itinerary to balance worship and academic study:
- 09:15 a.m.: Celebration of the Holy Eucharist
- 10:30 a.m.: Lectures commence (noted to begin “sharp”)
- 04:00 p.m.: Conclusion of the day’s program
