A unique way of washing of the Feet by a family.
A family from Miramar carries forward a three year old tradition of washing of the feet. The uniqueness of this act is not Just the remembrance of what Jesus did during Last Supper but carrying forward his Commandment of Love to their family.
Alzira the grandmother recalls that three years back a young Chaplain did something unique in their Chapel. He washed the feet of twelve disciples then asked them to wash the feet of another twelve in the crowd, who were actually their family members. So husband washed the feet of his wife, children that of parents and parents that of children and some washed feet of those who were not related to each other. He had later on invited the families to go home and do the same at home so that we may imbibe the quality of service and Love in our families. We have Carried forward this act even today reminding us of the commandment of Love and service in our families. Said the Grandmother.
