“An Hour of Grace,” held on Sunday, 30th November at Nuvem Church, unfolded as a deeply prayerful and uplifting liturgical concert under the direction of Fr. John Albano Fernandes. Organised by the Verna Deanery under the Deanship of Fr. Isidore and graciously hosted by Fr. Vital Miranda, the event united over a hundred singers from the deanery along with musicians from across Goa.
The choir was beautifully supported by fifteen violins, double bass, guitars, trumpets, and other instruments, with all musical arrangements composed by Fr. John.
Fr. Minguel Pereira enriched the celebration by explaining the meaning of each hymn, helping the assembly to reflect and pray through the music. A particularly moving moment came when the entire congregation joined the choir in song, filling the church with profound unity.
Witnessed by more than a thousand people, the evening concluded with a heartfelt standing ovation, affirming that sacred music, when offered with devotion, truly becomes prayer.
