The Archdiocese of Goa and Daman has announced the Pastoral Theme for the forthcoming Pastoral Year 2026–2027. The theme, approved by the Archbishop through a letter dated January 21, 2026, is “Mhoje Sovem Ravat” (Jn 15:4) in Konkani and “Abide in Me” (Jn 15:4) in English
His Eminence, Archbishop Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao, has earnestly recommended that all Diocesan Bodies, Church Institutions, Religious Communities, and Parishes to:
• Raise awareness of the above Pastoral Theme for the coming Pastoral Year 2026-2027 at all levels ensuring that all those entrusted to your care are well informed.
• Integrate the theme into all Ministries and Apostolates, making appropriate adaptations where needed.
•Plan and implement activities and programmes for the Pastoral Year 2026–2027 that are rooted in this theme, fostering deeper ecclesial renewal within our Archdiocese and contributing to the growth of a truly Synodal Church.
May this theme inspire the People of God from the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman to remain deeply rooted in Christ, the true Vine, and to recognise that authentic spiritual growth and fruitfulness flow from a living and abiding relationship with Him and one another.
