Bethany Convent High School, Sao Jose de Areal, Salcete-Goa, has received a prestigious National Award among 17 schools that participated across India in the “School Challenge: Towards Tobacco-Free Generation” organized by Ministry of Education, Government of India, Department of School Education and Literacy. Headmistress Sr Sandra Fernandes and Nodal Teacher Mrs Elizabeth Godinho were honoured in Delhi with a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 on 29th May 2026. The staff and students worked together with great enthusiasm to create awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco through various activities, making campaigns and educational programmes. This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication and collective efforts of our entire Bethany family. Bethany’s mission continues in providing a healthy, safe and empowering environment for every child.
