The Focolare Movement is organizing its annual gathering for priests, men religious, and seminarians who are in touch with the Movement across India. This year, the meeting will be held from the evening of Monday, 12th to the 15th Thursday, October 2026, at theSt. Joseph Vaz Spiritual Renewal Centre in Goa.
The theme for this year’s gathering is: “Set the Earth on Fire” (Lk 12:49*
The theme focuses on communion and mission in the life of priests drawing inspiration from the charism of Chiara Lubich, St. Francis of Assisi, and St. Francis Xavier. It is also timely and meaningful to reflect on the Church’s mission in the age of artificial intelligence, in the light of Magnifica Humanitas by Pope Leo.
The gathering is being promoted and organized collaboratively by a team that includes Fr. Susai Alangaram, diocesan priest of the Diocese of Trichy and coordinator of the priests of the Focolare Movement in India, together with Andrew Camilleri and Cherylanne Menezes, who are responsible for the Focolare Movement in India and the Philippines. Together, they bring a shared commitment to fostering communion among clergy and laity through the spirituality of unity.
