The parishioners of the Church of Our Lady of Candelaria, Baina, Vasco, solemnly commemorated Santos Pasos on the First Sunday of Lent. The commemoration was held on 22nd February 2026, with the solemn Mass celebrated at 5:00 p.m., followed by the veneration of the sacred image, fostering a spirit of repentance, devotion, and gratitude.
This sacred observance recalls the suffering of Jesus at Gethsemane. The Church Confraria reverently prepared a devotional scene using natural plants and a life-size image of Jesus, beautifully depicting His agony in the Garden of Gethsemane. The serene and prayerful setting deeply moved the faithful, inviting them to reflect on Christ’s suffering and sacrifice.
