The Final Meet of the Young Students Movement – Goa Region was held on 20 February 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the St. Joseph Vaz Spiritual Renewal Centre, Old Goa. Over 300 students, along with their teacher animators, attended the programme. The DYC Animation Team coordinated the whole program along with lively action songs and great enthusiasm.
The welcome address was delivered by Rev. Fr. Blaise Lobo, Director of Diocesan Youth Centre, Goa. The Chief Guest for the programme was Rev. Fr. Rosario Walter D’Souza, In-Charge of the St. Francis Xavier’s Training Centre for Children with Disabilities. In keeping with the theme, the students gave commendable performances, including songs, skits, dances, and mime presentations based on the theme; ‘Sharing Equality, Accepting Differences’. The outgoing YCS/YSM students were presented with certificates for being members of YCS/YSM and their services for the movement. Several teacher animators were also felicitated in recognition of their dedicated service to YCS–YSM for more than 10 years. Fr. Walter D’Souza gave an inspiring message based on the word “YOUNG,” encouraging the students to understand and live its true meaning. It concluded with the YCS/YSM final prayer followed by the YCS/YSM anthem.
