“SOMUDAI EKVOTTACHI SANZ”
PARODA: Somudai Ekvottachi Sanz was held on August 15, 2022 at Paroda Church Ground which was organized by Paroda Parishioners. The chief guest for the Day was Fr. Jose Anton Costa. Parishoners of Paroda were delighted to celebrate the three main celebrations of the Day, namely Feast of Our Lady of Assumption, 75th India Independence Day and Somudai Ekvottachi Sanz.
The event started with the march where few parishioners dressed like national freedom fighters followed by the Lighting of traditional lamp. The main attraction for the evening was the Musical Concert which was performed by young rising Musicians of Paroda under the guidance of Mr. Avinash Fernandes. Live Band was performed headed by Lenoy Gomendes.
The main theme of the event was to portray the culture and tradition of Goa. In view of the same there were many traditional dance performances presented by the parishioners, traditionally prepared sweets were served and the entire environment was filled with National Patriotism and culture. There were many meaningful skits performed by the parishioners and the need to preserve our culture for generation to generation was given utmost importance. It was indeed a wonderful get together
