Report of 1st All Goa Priests Table Tennis and Carrom Singles Tournament
St. Thomas Parish Youth, Aldona, under the guidance of their youth Animator organized 1st All Goa Priests Table Tennis and Carrom Singles Tournament on 16th October 2022, at St. Thomas Parish Centre. The motto of this tournament was to promote vocations and also to revive the indoor games and to showcase the talents of the priests who were good in indoor games during their seminary life.
The tournament began with a prayer, followed by the welcome address by Parish Priest Fr. Tomas Lobo. After the welcome address, Fr. Michael Fernandes explained the rules of the tournament. Adv. Carlos Ferreira. Honorable MLA of our constituency too came to witness the talents of our priests. Each round comprised of 3 sets and the final was of 5 sets.
22 Priests from all over Goa participated in the tournament. It was an occasion for the priests to come together, to be together, to play together and to showcase their talents.
Fr. Michael thanked the priests for participating in the tournament inspite of their busy schedule. He also thanked the Parish Priest, Executive Committee, Sports Committee and specially Mr. Milton Fernandes, Mr. Collin Vaz, Mr. Alfred Pinto, Mr. Charles Alemao and Mr. Conrad Fernandes for their collaboration in organizing the tournament. He had a word of gratitude for all the well wishers who supported the tournament.
Miss Angel Ferandes was the compare and Mr. Lauren Coelho expressed the vote of thanks.
As the tournament was going on, delicious snacks were served. All the priests played enthusiastically. The tournament ended with the prize distribution.
In the Table Tennis Tournament, the 1st Place is bagged by Fr. Mario Noronha. He was also awarded the Best Player Prize.
2nd Place was bagged by Fr, Ramiro Luis.3rd Place was shared by Fr. Peter Simon and Fr. Luis Gomes.
In the carrom singles. The 1st place was bagged by Fr, Xavier Estibeiro. He was also awarded the Best Player Prize.
The 2nd Place was bagged by Fr. Franco Cardozo – sfx
3rd place place was shared by Fr. Milagres Dias and Fr. Menino Vales.
As a gesture of love and gratitude, a token was given to all the priests.

The tournament was just not organised for the sake of it. The tournament that was organised by Fr Michael, Fr Thomas, bro Jason along with their PARISH YOUTH team was an expression of immense love and concern that they have towards Priests. Just felt Good.
