Prof. (Dr.) Annie Rajan has taken charge as Principal of Fr. Agnel College, Pilar. Rev. Fr. Anthony D’Silva highlighted her 28 years teaching at DCT’s Dhempe College (Associate Professor) and her role coordinating the IGNOU study centre.
Rajan earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai, focusing on a Machine Translation Toolkit for Konkani, with expertise in natural language processing, machine translation, and computational linguistics for low-resource Indian languages.
The ceremony included Rev. Fr. Jerry Vaz presenting a bouquet, with Rev. Dr. Frederico Rodrigues and Rev. Fr. Milton Rodrigues in attendance, followed by introductions from the non-teaching staff.
The College community warmly welcomes Dr. Rajan and pledges full cooperation and prayers for her tenure, with gratitude to Rev. Dr. Frederico Rodrigues for his leadership.
