Our Lady of Succour Parish, Socorro, will host its Rice Festival on Sunday, August 16, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Our Lady of Succour Church Courtyard. The festival promises a day of entertainment, culture, and traditional Goan cuisine, celebrating the significance of rice in Goa’s heritage.
The event will feature live music by Smooth, with John Rebello serving as the compere. Visitors can also enjoy a Fancy Dress Competition, Rice Dish Competition, Cultural Programme, Spot Prizes, a traditional Goan Rice Plate, and a variety of Goan rice delicacies.
The parish invites all parishioners and the public to participate in the festivities and experience a celebration of Goan culture, community, and tradition.
